MINISTER OF CITIZENSHIP, IMMIGRATION AND MULTICULTURALISM MEETS MEMBERS OF HINDU FEDERATION

Honourable Jason Kenny, Minister of Multiculturalism, Citizenship and Immigration, was welcomed by a group of young  boys and girls, who chanted  "Pushpam Mantra" and later he, along with Pt Roopnauth Sharma President of Hindu federation walked together with members of Hindu Federation to Ram Mandir Temple where  the minster was given standing ovation by a crowd of over 350 persons.  There the Hon. Minister praised the Hindu diasporas' peaceful and constructive approach to problems, by offering solutions. The Hon Minister also presented a photograph of the Prime Minster laying the wreath at Mahatma Gandhi's Samadhi in India, during the visit to India.

Later the Hon. Minister had a closed-door round table conference with the members of Hindu Federation, where he conversed freely with all members.

Hindu Community will be celebrating India Heritage day in Mississauga. Aug 15 2010.

The Hindu Federation has confirmed that the annual Hindu Heritage Festival will be hosted by the City of Mississauga. This year the venue will be the lawns of the Mississauga Living Arts Center.  The event will be out doors and will feature a grand parade followed by colourful and entertaining stage performances that will highlight the Hindu Culture. There will be many vendors and lots of food and fun for the entire family. The focus of the event will be to educate the general public about the Hindu Culture and to establish an event that will one day be a major festival in the city of Mississauga.
 
Hindu Federation to host dinners to inform MP and MPP about G8 Religious Summit

Hindu Federation will be hosting a series of dinner events in different regions with the objective being to inform the relevant Government Representatives of the objective and the Summit and the Statement that has been drawn up by the Interfaith steering committee. This statement outlines the major issues that the religious communities wants the world leaders to address during their meeting in Canada.
